Safety of pressure systems
Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000
The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR) cover the safe design and use of pressure systems. The aim of PSSR is to prevent serious injury from the hazard of stored energy (pressure) as a result of the failure of a pressure system or one of its component parts.
Your espresso machine contains a pressurised vessel that is subject to the Pressure System Safety Regulations (2000). Espress Test and our specialised team of licensed inspecting engineers provide cost-effective Pressure Vessel Inspections to help comply with this legal requirement.
The PSSR (2000) reduce the risk of catastrophic failure of a pressure system. Even a small espresso machine has the potential to cause property damage, injury or even death. The duty holder is responsible for ensuring compliance and may be personally liable for damage claims.
Although Pressure Vessel Inspections are a separate requirement to your annual service, as all our licensed Area Reps are time-served espresso machine engineers, they can complete general servicing at the same time, and often saving you money.
his could result in the catastrophic failure of the vessel.
